Role Summary: This role is responsible for contributing to Clinical Insights for Point of Care Ultrasound by developing a deep understanding of the clinical needs and medical conditions managed by Point of Care customers, developing and sustaining meaningful relationships with Key Opinion Leaders and by being an interface and support for Product, Commercial Marketing and Advanced Applications to translate those needs into Commercial products and tools that create clinical value for GE PoC.
Essential Responsibilities: • Contribute to the definition, design and refinement of software products and services to address customer needs • Develop (clinical) competition intelligence to support the field with counter arguments and selling advantages • Plan, conduct and report customer related application projects • Communicate customer feedback to central and Product teams for pilots and new product introductions, transfer (clinical) expertise into product roadmap definition • Establish and maintain close contacts and collaboration with external Key Opinion Leaders and researchers (directly and through sales organization) to build a network of high profile customers by supporting development of advanced applications with them and building/sustaining Reference sites. • Participate in Medical Advisory Board meetings to build application roadmap and provide input to Product Marketing and Engineering • Assist with the reporting of data at scientific congresses, customer seminars and internal training events • Support the development, maintenance, improvement & implementation of working routines/standards for experimental procedures, reporting of consultancy projects, contracts with customers • Identify opportunities to use the results of development projects in sales situations or marketing material. Facilitate and support the transfer of this information into the corresponding marketing and product management teams • Provide product support to sales, marketing and demonstration teams • Assist with customer engagements, focus groups, user groups, advisory boards and other market-related activities to assist in the collection, definition and validation of market needs and requirements • Identify clinical trends in PoC Ultrasound • Support clinical optimization, evaluation of new software, options, and systems prior to release • Support Clinical aspects of Product Documentation pre and post launch • Support and participate in development of high quality clinical Marketing Images • Support clinical aspects of Marketing activities to promote GEHC PoC Ultrasound products throughout all phases of the product lifecycle • Develop working knowledge of diagnostic and monitoring tools used by PoC physicians in their practice • Establishes link between Global Clinical Insights and local Sales and Applications team Quality Specific Goals: • Aware of and comply with the GEHC Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this job type/position. • Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines. • Identify and report any and all customer quality or compliance concerns immediately to the Quality Organization. • Identify and report any personal quality or compliance concerns immediately to the Quality Organization.
Qualifications/Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant scientific or clinical area, or current Sonography credential(s) and/or Medical degree • Highly qualified in multiple clinical ultrasound applications • Experience working with Customers • Experience in communicating scientific data (lectures, posters, papers, and other media) • Ability and willingness to travel, including international travel • Excellent communication and presentation skills • Team player able to work effectively within a matrix environment across multiple geographies
Desired Characteristics: • Demonstrated Leadership capabilities • Master’s degree in a relevant scientific or clinical discipline preferred • 5 + yrs experience in ultrasound device development industry • Teaching ability: able to present complex material/ techniques in comprehensible terms, present a professional image • Strong influencing skills • Multilingual with fluency in English (spoken and written) • Creative, flexible, adaptable and well-organized • Proven ability to develop creative solutions to problems, collaborate and execute on them to accomplish goals • Proven ability to learn from past experiences and apply those learnings in new settings • Mindset of speed and simplicity • Point of Care Ultrasound Market Expertise
