Role Summary: The ECAD Technical/Architect Leader will lead technical efforts and broad initiatives to implement the Electrical CAD Automation & Integration with PLM to cater to engineering and manufacturing needs. Apart from NX Routing Electrical candidate must have AutoCAD Electrical & Capital (Mentor Graphics) out-of-the box configurations & custom application development experience using Microsoft .Net languages, Integration with PLM system, common libraries and defining coding standards.
Essential Responsibilities: In addition you will: • Collaborate with project managers in understanding the Business need and propose suitable solutions. • Lead the development and implementation of custom tools in Electrical CAD technology • Create and Own the application development standards and ensure these standards stay current with the changing application landscape • Lead the creation of documented custom tools and reusable libraries • Play a lead role in the analysis, design, coding, testing, documentation, implementation, and maintenance of information technology solutions for business processes • Utilize experience and expertise to solve problems, develop and execute objectives for self and others. • Serve as technical expert responsible for the implementation of an assigned applications area(s), which supports client and/or business objectives and plans • Coach the team in new technology introduction, software development lifecycle, code management and good documentation practices • Mentor the team by sharing Multi-CAD knowledge and experience • Have the ability to effect short-term and long-term business goals • Be responsible for executing the key initiatives relative to Electrical CAD development and architecture • Manage contractors and estimate efforts and budgets • Work with peers and other technology owners to create software that is reusable, efficient, scalable, and meet the needs of the business • Participate in business process evaluation / improvement activities, requirements gathering, system analysis, system design, software / hardware applicability studies and system implementation and executes projects based on these activities • Provide input into the technology plan for the IT organization, and ensure that plans for their assigned applications integrate effectively with other aspects of the technical infrastructure • Advise management on application and supporting technology purchases and on future projects or environment upgrades / modifications • Support, advise, assist guide and resolve problems for client users • Participate in the evaluation and implementation of third party software solutions within the Multi-CAD
Qualifications/Requirements: • Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Information Technology (IT), Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering discipline from an accredited college or university • Minimum of 6 years of experience of Electrical CAD (NX, AutoCAD & Mentorgraphics) configurations, custom tool development, design and architecture. • Minimum of 3 years in an Architect role for ECAD implementation.
