Role Summary: The FP&A analyst demonstrates accountability for functional, business and broad company’s objectives. In this role, you will integrate and develop processes that meet business needs across the organization, manage complex issues within functional area of expertise. You will be involved in long term planning, and contribute to the overall business strategy.
Essential Responsibilities: • Monthly CFOA forecasting and Variance analysis • Highlight process, system or customer issues impacting timely payment. Work with finance managers, operations, commercial operations/sales, etc. to drive resolution • Liaison with collection organization (GE Capital WCS) • Support quarterly financial closing and reporting activities for receivables, unbilled, reserve and analysis • Identify quarterly CFOA opportunities including providing support on deferred balance monetization • Assist with monitoring of LC. Subject matter expert for Letters of Credit; review and approve all LCs to ensure compliance with commercial terms and LC operational workability • Facilitate pro-active weekly cash call process rigor • Oversee invoicing/document process for LC transactions to ensure timely submission and proper tracking in place • Publish billing & collections dashboard for operational owners of all product lines • Liaise with O&G Legal counsel on the review of the assignment language in the contract • Work on identifying factoring opportunities and updating factoring hotlist • Work with Operations team to obtain consent letters when required. • Increase factoring penetration rate and work with O&G HQ and Commercial to drive factoring, deferred monetization, and syndication • Work with WCS on factoring submissions. Liaise with Controllership and Treasury to ensure timely repayment and accuracy of Factoring JE’s. • Perform ad-hoc assignments/projects as requested, including presentations to Senior Leadership • Support region FP&A Manager on simplification projects
Qualifications/Requirements: • MBA, masters or CA/CPA preferred • Some experience working operationally in a GE Business • Green Belt Six Sigma Certified (GE Employees only) • Excellent written and oral communication Skills • Ability to work under tight deadlines • Excellent analytical skills – qualitative and quantitative • Good inter-personal and leadership skills to enable working in a matrix environment and senior banking experience to set up factoring processes
Desired Characteristics: • Strong execution skills • Relevant MBA or CA strongly preferred • FMP or CAS graduates
