Role Summary:
The Service Solutions Territory Sales Manager will be responsible for driving profitable growth of the IS Service Solutions product and services offerings at Industrial, Utility, and Large Commercial End User Customers within an assigned territory.

Essential Responsibilities:
As the Service Solutions Territory Sales Manager, you will:

  • Be responsible for product / service lines, including:
  • Power Delivery and Power Utilization
  • Motor, Transformer, and Switchgear Repairs
  • Turnkey Substations, New and retrofit Drives and Controls, and Field Services
  • New GE Large Motors and spare parts
  • New GE Electrical Distribution Equipment
  • Plan and implement sales strategies to maximize market share in the assigned territory
  • Lead order closing strategies on own or with other team members to drive results and meet Operating Plan Objectives
  • Develop new customers and grow existing customer market share
  • Meet or exceed individual orders targets with focus on convertible orders and profitable growth
  • Develop customer relationships at the transactional level with key decision makers and vertically integrate accounts to upper management and executive levels, continuously moving accounts from transnational to the enterprise selling level
  • Forecast pipeline of opportunities including Orders and Sales for a given sales territory in GE's CRM System ( on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
  • Maintain accurate and up to date records of all opportunities and disposition opportunities as they evolve in
  • Provide competitive market feedback to the business on any proposals, win or lose, via use of
  • Maintain knowledge of market trends, competitive actions, customer trends, installed base and market levels of pricing for supported classes of services or products
  • Assist in all major proposal generation including Terms and Conditions negotiations with customers
  • Collaborate with the Application Engineers, Technical Proposal Managers, and Repair Sales Managers as needed to qualify, quantify, and close key orders
  • Provide customer insights to key service offering gaps for New Product Introduction development

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Marketing, or Business from an accredited college or university (OR a High School Diploma / GED with a minimum of 8 years Marketing, Sales, Customer Service, or hands-on experience with GE's Industrial Services portfolio)
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in Industrial Services Customer Service, Commercial Operations, Application Engineering, Field Service, and/or Technical Sales
  • Ability and willingness to obtain and maintain a valid passport and driver's license
  • Ability and willingness to travel within the District
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening
PLEASE NOTE: Jacksonville, FL is the preferred location; however other locations in North Florida or South Georgia may be considered

Desired Characteristics:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering or Master's Degree in Engineering
  • Master's Degree in Business (MBA) from an accredited college or university
  • Black or Green Belt Six Sigma Certification or equivalent Quality certification
  • Commercial Leadership Program (CLP) or Experienced Commercial Leadership Program (ECLP) Graduate (GE Employees only)
  • Proven customer centric behaviors and consistent track record of meeting objectives
  • High proficiency in utilizing electronic sales tools including;, MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Self-starter, energetic and positive contributor to the team environment
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills with all levels of the organization
  • Strong Interpersonal and team building skills
  • Industry experience in Marine, Utilities, Manufacturing, Material Handling, Pharmaceutical, Water / Waste Water, Metals, Mining, Pulp and Paper, and/or Chemical and Petrochemical
  • Proven performance in developing and maintaining executive level business relationships
  • Ability to work effectively within a matrix environment
  • Ability to manage multiple transactions and priorities simultaneously
  • Ability to negotiate complex and strategic contracts
