Role Summary:
The Sourcing Specialist - Lifecycle / Services assures Sourcing activities are in full compliance with company sourcing policies and procedures. This role will manage the buying process for a given set of goods & lead purchasing process improvement projects; apply sourcing policy, interface between supplier and entity with respect to specifications and budgets

Essential Responsibilities:
As the Sourcing Specialist - Lifecycle / Services, you will:

  • Understand concepts, methods and procedures to enable sourcing execution.
  • Manage fulfillment for given sent of goods from PO placement, order acknowledgement, promise date and on-time delivery.
  • Manage problems and schedule changes and update ERP.
  • Manage relationships with suppliers for PO execution.
  • Assess supplier capabilities and make recommendations on supplier acceptability.
  • Be responsible for driving key metrics for assigned set of goods around PO cycle time, deflation, on-time delivery and payment terms.
  • Understand strategies for assigned commodities & proactively drive initiatives to meet Sourcing objectives. Support commodity buys.
  • Lead purchasing improvement projects and contribute to colleague’s own projects as a team member including, developing a plan, driving progress to the plan, implementing sustainable changes and lastly documenting the changes in SOP and rolling it out with training
  • Communicate with direct team, supervisor and plant/field stakeholders
  • Assure Sourcing activities are in full compliance with company sourcing policies and procedures


Qualifications/Requirements:
    • Bachelor's Degree (Engineering, Business, or Supply Chain) from an accredited college or university
    • Minimum of 3 years Sourcing and/or Procurement experience
    • Minimum of 2 years SAP ERP experience
    ELIGIBILTIY REQUIREMENTS:
    • PLEASE NOTE: If being hired to Canada location, you must have legal authorization to work in Canada and any offer of employment is conditioned upon the successful completion of a background investigation: The drug screen requirement in the background check process is not required if the role is based in Canada.


    Desired Characteristics:
    • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Business
    • Supply Chain experience
    • Strong interpersonal communications, and negotiation skills with ability to influence at all levels of the organization
    • Strong quantitative and analytical skills
    • Strong PC and database management skills
    • Black Belt / Green Belt certified or quality certification or equivalent quality certification
    • Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite products
    • Technical Degree or Master's Degree in Business Administration
