Role Summary: Install, maintain, and repair internal factory equipment. Supervise employees who perform maintenance and tool making. Positions requiring understanding of a concepts, methods and procedures (technical Bachelor’s Degree). Key GE interface with employees performing maintenance and tool making, and GE BCO Production and Operations personnel. Manage complex facilities projects start to finish. Key interface with On-Site Contractors, Utilities Representatives, and Service Providers.
In addition you will :
Performing technical work specific to electrical, equipment review, etc.
Sign off on engineering design & certifications
Work with external vendors
This could include civil, electrical, or other engineering specialty skill sets
Expected to resolve problems through the application of acquired expertise guided by precedent
Works together with people from the business unit
Contacts are under guidance and / or geared towards specifying activities, planning of activities and giving explanations on technical issues
Communicates with direct team and supervisor
Presents to internal teams on metrics, project status and research
Manage complex facilities projects from start to finish :
1. Define project(s)
2. Write SOW’s
3. Work with CH2MHILL through quoting and bidding process
4. Meet with bidding contractors
5. Follow work to ensure compliance to specifications
6. Address concerns during construction
7. Finalize and commission project(s)
8. Document and retain drawings and project documentation
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in Manufacturing)
Minimum of 3 years experience leading a Technical Group in the Maintenance / Facilities related field in a Manufacturing Environment
Strong oral and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
Ability to work independently
Strong problem solving skills
Ability to organize and navigate through complex situations and projects
