Role Summary: Create definitions of parts, modules, and assemblies in the form of 2D & and 3D CAD models and drawings, tolerance stack-ups, and various electronic data formats to support analysis, manufacturing, assembly, tooling, and inspection.
Essential Responsibilities: 1.Create CAD models and Drawings using company sponsored CAD systems 2.Work within the guidelines of applicable GE Policies and Procedures, Engineering Standards, Design Customer Operating Procedures, Specifications, Government and Commercial Standards, and special security requirements. 3.Understand Design Change documentation requirements and execute the changes. 4.Utilize Six Sigma tools to improve current business products and processes. Document successful six sigma projects via Green Belt reports and/or presentations. 5.Use dimensional constraints and geometric tolerances required for proper clearances and fits while maximizing manufacturing capabilities. 6.Learn to perform basic Stack-ups. 7.Understand input from the various engineering disciplines. 8.Concurrently work on multiple projects, monitoring progress and quality and ensuring schedule requirements are met. 9.Identify process and product improvement. 10.Self check of work.

Desired Characteristics: • Strong oral and written communication skills • Strong interpersonal, leadership potential and a positive energy • Basic knowledge of computer aided design (CAD), preferably in Siemens NX • Basic understanding of computer aided manufacturing (CAM) and manufacturing processes • Basic understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing as it relates to individual parts and overall assemblies (ANSI Y14.5) • Effective problem identification and solution skills
