Role Summary: We are looking for a UX visual designer with supporting skillset on interaction design, and / or research in our Kuopio office in Finland.
You would be part of GE Healthcare High Acuity Care team, a dynamic, fast-paced, and global organization dedicated to leveraging digital technologies to drive value for anesthesiologists, intensive care personnel, and other high acuity care customers and users.
Create and execute design principles to ensure cohesiveness of UI workflow and visual aesthetic across the High acuity care portfolio
Work as a part of UX and scrum team to drive and deliver stunning visual and/or interaction design for programs.
Apply the results of user research toward creating intuitive, functional, and visually appealing user interfaces. Representative deliverables include workflows, wireframe UI designs, visual design pictures and interaction prototypes.
Create stunning web and application designs for High Acuity products.
Translate concepts and prototypes into formal design requirements and specifications documents.
Collaborate across relevant stakeholders to balance user, business, and technical requirements, and to ensure that design recommendations are incorporated within commercialized products.
Bachelor’s Degree in Interaction, Graphic, or Industrial Design preferred or in “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math)
Experience as an visual designer and / or interaction designer.
Track record of delivering conceptual and detail design and strong sense of aesthetics.
Strong communications (written and verbal), negotiation, and problem solving skills.
Strong level of self-motivation and ability to work independently.
Expert in the use of visual, or interaction design tools such as such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Axure,etc.
Experience and strong working knowledge of site design; mastery in principles of Web, application design (HTML, XHTML, CSS, JS), and mobile design
Experience working within the consumer electronics and/or healthcare/medical devices sectors.
Experience working within global, cross-functional teams.
Track record of developing and executing design languages and user experiences.
Portfolio demonstrating successful examples of conceptual designs, detail design, prototypes, and final commercialized products.
Use of visual and interaction design prototyping tools, familiar with HTML5 code
Understand and apply Agile / Lean UX methodologies.
