Role Summary: The Manufacturing Engineer will be participate to all technical activities required for the assigned programs/processes. In this role he/she will contribute to solve problems, develop and execute objectives and have the ability to effect short-term and some long-term business goals. We offer a fixed term contract until the 30th December 2017.
Essential Responsibilities: The Manufacturing Engineer will:
Maintain manufacturing methods and create process routings;
Design and build / procure necessary tooling and finishing within budgets;
Support equipment upgrades from purchase through installation;
Contribute to analysis for changes to processes and/or equipment;
Support EHS projects in cell;
Participate to Process Improvement / Cycle Reduction initiatives;
Ensure processes contribute to a safe work environment;
Contribute to product quality issues caused by process variation identification and reduction;
Support the quality function through integration of ISO/QC documentation and Manufacturing methods Instructions;
Utilize lean-manufacturing principles and participate in action workouts to improve process capability, reduce overall costs and increase capacity.
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma/GED and a solid manufacturing or operations experience);
A significant experience in manufacturing or operations;
Fluent Italian and English language;
Proficient in computer skills;
EU work permit.
Ability to read engineering drawings and specifications;
Strong mechanical design ability;
Ability to manage priorities and achieve results;
Prior exposure to and knowledge of Lean Manufacturing;
