Role Summary:
The Sales Co-op Program is designed to recruit top students from a wide range of majors with a strong interest in sales and a desire to work for a world class, industry leader. This 3 or 6 month internship is used to develop a bench strength pool of candidates for future sales opportunities. GE Lighting is leading the Lighting Revolution by delivering innovative solutions that change the way people light and think about their world.

Essential Responsibilities:

As a Sales Co-op, responsibilities may include the following :


  • Integrate into GE Lighting's Commercial team to support local sales related activities
  • Support the demand generation initiative through opportunity data mining, lead qualification, end user research, and proposal and presentation development
  • Support channel activities such as sales analysis, pricing analysis, promotional execution, customer meetings, open houses, joint sales calls and tools training
  • Develop end user selling skills in an effort to drive sales within the sales region
  • Attend local sales meetings and roundtables with Sales Leadership

    Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Flexible scheduling around class schedules if part-time co-op opportunities are available
  • Full-time 40 hours / week schedule during 6 month program
  • Minimum 3.0 cumulative overall GPA or better (out of 4.0)
  • Current Sophomore or above, Or Seniors on their last co-op assignments
  • Must be enrolled full-time (the semester after you work) at an accredited college or university

    ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS :


  • Willingness and ability to travel / relocate
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.
