Role Summary:
You will be responsible for understanding functional and product requirements for a complete product for a specific release or multiple concurrent releases; applies agile principles to convert these specifications into stories and work units and then translating them into criteria for acceptable product performance; mentoring junior team members; Influences Customers, Product Managers and Engineering Team members in relation to Design Decisions, Technology Choices and time lines.

Essential Responsibilities:

In this role, you will:

  • Own a complete major product release and multiple concurrent
    intermediate releases
  • Demonstrate expert level skill in problem decomposition and
    ability to navigate through ambiguity
  • Be regarded as an expert in Agile Methodology. Has the
    ability to run multiple scrums or scrum of scrums
  • Collaborate closely with Product Mangers in Scope and
    Feature decisions, deciding time lines and release schedule; Assists Product
    mangers in managing customers showing deep expertise in inbound product
    management; help Product Managers in defining the product vision and roadmap
  • Collaborate and UX, Architecture and Engineering Teams in
    Design Decisions demonstrating deep understanding of technology stack
  • Mentor junior team members and provides oversight when
    working with other Analysts on a large project
  • Establish close partnership with Quality Engineering and
    Build and Release Engineering teams to ensure successful releases
  • Understand security and compliance requirements; establishes
    seamless integration with Cyber Security and Compliance teams
  • Demonstrate excellent business acumen, knows latest industry
    trends, routinely attends industry seminars and is looked at as an internal
    expert on the product as well as the associated competitive landscape
  • Demonstrate superior persuasion and influencing skills that
    ensure alignment between customer, product manager and engineering team























Qualifications/Requirements:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or in “STEM” Majors
    (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math)
  • A minimum of 6 years of professional experience managing
    cloud based software product development.
  • Demonstrated experience using CA/Rally for SCRUM management.
  • Certified SCRUM Master / Agile Product Owner (Preferred)

  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will

    job
  • Any offer of employment is conditioned upon the successful

  • Must be willing to travel
  • Must be willing to work out of an office located in Chicago
    IL, Schenectady NY or San Ramon, CA



Desired Characteristics:

Technical Expertise:

  • Strong knowledge of Object Oriented Analysis and Design,
    Software Design Patterns and Java coding principles
  • Knowledge web services (REST, SOAP, WSDL etc.), using Apache
    Commons Suite & Maven
  • Hands-on experience with web development using Java, HTML,
    Java Script, jQuery. Experience with Play framework, Angular is a big plus
  • Ability to work with cross functional teams scattered around
    the globe.

Business Acumen:

  • Strong problem solving abilities and capable of articulating
    specific technical topics or assignments
  • Experience in building scalable and highly available
    distributed systems
  • Expert in breaking down problems and estimate time for
    development tasks
  • Evangelizes how our technology solves customer problems from
    a technology and business perspective

  • Demonstrates clarity of thinking to work through limited
    information and vague problem definitions
  • Influences through others; builds direct and "behind
    the scenes" support for ideas
  • Proactively identifies and removes project obstacles or
    barriers on behalf of the team
