Role Summary: This role is created to focus on discovery, advocating and closing of sales opportunities involving Asset Condition Monitoring, Diagnostics and Performance Optimization (Bently Nevada Product line) to end user customers throughout a defined geography and sales market. The sales market will include Industrial Facilities, Food/Beverage, Waste Water, Paper, Mining, Metals, and other industrial market verticals.
Essential Responsibilities: The main area of focus will be providing these industries with sales coverage for their plant equipment monitoring and diagnostic needs.
In the role of Industrial Sales Manager – Mid Region you will:
Be responsible for discovery of sales opportunities, selection and presentation of Asset Condition Monitoring, Diagnostics and Performance Optimization (Bently Nevada Product line) to end user customers in defined geography
Be responsible for mentoring and leading various channel partners in their discovery of sales opportunities, selection and presentation of Asset Condition Monitoring, Diagnostics and Performance Optimization (Bently Nevada Product line) to end user customers in defined geography
Develop an annual territory strategy through deep account understanding and specific drivers for growth including budgets per year and timeline for key projects
Leverage deep outcome selling experience and skills to lead GE’s outcome selling approach throughout the territory to drive growth in region orders, sales and operating profit
Drive development of growth strategy for NPIs / GPB initiatives with customer base. While also developing critical commercial information such as business cases, presentation tools, proposal delivery, proposal templates, and selling support
Define account strategies including recommendations of future NPI investments and leads cross-territory initiatives to grow market share
Leverage sales successes to generate quality opportunities for partners while supporting GE’s integrated account selling
Lead weekly, monthly and quarterly territory reviews and report to Sale Leader / Region Sales Director
Identify new market opportunities and cross-selling GE products
Actively participate in Demand to Inquiry (DTI) process, establishing a systematic business-scouting program with the purpose of identifying existing and new market opportunities
Assist in proposal preparation and delivery, provides technical information and process
Bachelors’ Degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, Marketing from an accredited college or university (OR High School Diploma / GED from an accredited school or institution with a minimum 7 years of experience in plant and process optimization and/or control including 2 years of experience in Power Generation and/or Petrochemical Industries
Minimum 3 years of experience in plant and process optimization and/or control
Minimum 2 years of experience in Power Generation, Petrochemical Industries, and/or other similar industries
Ability and willingness to travel 50% of the time, as required

Prior management of channel partners or team management
Demonstrated ability to execute and drive results

Strong interpersonal and presentation skills

Good understanding of condition monitoring solutions and geographic region’s marketplace / clients
Excellent demonstrated understanding of modern maintenance methodologies (PM, PdM, RCM, etc) for plant electrical and mechanical equipment
Good understanding of Large Project / Global Project Sales Methodology, and review gates
Demonstrated ability to engage in high-level sales and business discussions
Demonstrated past success in sales of condition monitoring solutions or asset management solutions, with a strong mix of service offerings
Strong communication skills
Proficiency in the use of Personal Computers, and Microsoft applications
Preferably Six-Sigma Green Belt Certified (GE employees only)
