Role Summary:
We are looking for a Field Service Engineer to our Nordic service team in GE Healthcare Life Sciences. You will together with your colleagues be responsible for servicing our customer’s equipment consisting of liquid chromatography systems, SPR systems & scanners. Examples are ÄKTA avant/pure, Biacore, Typhoon scanners etc. For further information about the role, please contact Daniel Gilleberg, Field Services Manager Nordic, GE Healthcare +46 76 720 36 56

Essential Responsibilities:
Plan and coordinate activities concerned with installing equipment, investigating and resolving customer reports of technical problems with equipment, and eliminating future operational or service difficulties by performing the following duties:

  • Provide advice on the use and care of instruments to customers, maintaining a high level of technical and customer management skill
  • Plan & organize preventive maintenance visits & ad hoc visits
  • Promptly complete and return relevant paperwork (and electronic evidence) associated with service visits and installations
  • Maintain a positive and collaborative working relationship with other field service staff and the Sales force to ensure the customer needs are understood and met
  • Maintain stocks of usable spares, regularly reviewing the stock to optimize stock holding in keeping with instruments serviced
  • Complete allocated jobs in the shortest practical time. Where work cannot be completed retain ownership to see through to completion
  • Ability to work independently and seek information as needed from colleagues and support functions


Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Appropriate engineering or scientific education or experience
  • Experience in laboratory environment
  • Computer skills to include hardware & software
  • Excellent communication skills in Swedish and English
  • Effective organizational and administrative skills
  • Current Driving licence
  • Ability to deal professionally with people at all levels or the organization
  • Willingness to travel ~30%, in the Nordic region


Desired Characteristics:

  • Knowledge of Life Sciences or service business
  • Relevant instrumentation/technology experience
  • Knowledge of GEHC product range
  • Computer networking skills
