Role Summary:
As a Technical Project Manager for Predix Platform Engineering, you will be responsible for leading cross functional projects within and across multiple engineering teams. This will include planning, facilitating and program managing small to medium projects for limited durations. Additionally, you will also be responsible for running organization wide program to capture performance and execution based metrics for engineering scrum teams.

Essential Responsibilities:
This will include creating an actionable plan, building reports, dashboarding and presenting results to senior leadership teams on recurring basis.

In this role, you will:
  • Work with selected service owners and service leaders to continuously deliver program and project support on cross engineering projects
  • Support engineering projects on a day to day basis including project planning, resource and effort estimation, communication, follow up and reporting
  • Interact with other engineering teams as well as other functions like finance, business development, marketing, sourcing, sales & commercials
  • Responsible for executing org wide metrics program including finance, HR, adoption, partnership, performance, execution, release and stability metrics
  • Build Rally reports and dashboards at parent and child project levels to reflect org wide performance metrics
  • Actively participate in scrum meetings, stands ups, scrum plannings, and weekly reviws
  • Prepare and present summary reports to senior leadership during staff meetings, QMI etc.
  • Partner with operations and broader program management office to align engineering vision with rest of the organization including for metrics, sourcing, partner engagement, large program ownership & tarcking methodology
  • Become an expert at adapting quickly to new scenarios that require specific skill sets and have high levels of ambiguity
  • Responsible for looking ahead to upcoming roadblocks and challenges and proactively highlighting them at the right time with the right audience


Qualifications/Requirements:
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, computer science or in “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) or equivalent years of experience
  • A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in Technology and SW Development OR Master’s degree with 2 years of full cycle SW Development experience
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience working with engineering project planning & reporting tools such as Rally, Aha or JIRA is required

Eligibility Requirements:
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job
  • Any offer of employment is conditioned upon the successful completion of a background investigation and drug screen
  • Must be willing to work out of an office located in San Ramon, CA
  • Must be willing to travel limitedly


Desired Characteristics:
  • Experience with program management tasks mentioned under the responsibilities section
  • Knowledge of Agile/Scrum principles
  • Additional qualification such as PMP/similar will be a great asset
  • Experience in product organizations over multi release cycle
  • Demonstrates the initiative to explore alternate approaches to solving problems
  • Skilled in breaking down problems, documenting problem statements and estimating efforts
  • Ensures understanding of issues and presents clear rationale. Able to speak to mutual needs and
