Role Summary: The GE Power Digital Customer Engagement (DCE) team orchestrates targeted, seamless online customer experiences that allow customers and prospective customers to learn, engage with, and purchase from GE. The DCE team supports the broader P&L digital marketing teams, our HQ strategic marketing team, and sales and Is responsible for unifying and delivering a consistent digital secure experience with respect to all necessary customer tools & applications.
Essential Responsibilities: This position will be responsible for delivering complete technical solutions that enable GE Power’s digital marketing efforts, and helping shape the overall digital marketing technology strategy. Qualified candidates will have experience in the implementation and/or maintenance of an enterprise content management system.
In this role you will:
Provide technical expertise that drives the maintenance and evolution of GE Power’s enterprise content management system (CMS) - Adobe Experience Manager (AEM)
Work with technical teams and architects in support of the design & implementation of AEM integrations and enhancements
Define and drive an effective Digital Marketing technology strategy, making technology recommendations, analyzing the overall impact & effectively communicating recommendations to key stakeholders
Collaborate with the UX, Technology and Strategy teams to proactively provide recommendations that enhance the stability, availability, global performance and governance of customer-facing platforms
Research and evaluate emerging technology, industry and market trends to assist in project development and/or operational support activities.
Partner with other application teams to promote technology simplification efforts and ensure successful transition of business processes and continuity
Enforce common web, architecture and CMS standards and processes to establish metrics and delivery consistent with business outcomes and code reuse principles
Ensure code developed adheres to best practices and quality standards through code and design reviews
Provide oversight, and technical direction to development teams to ensure the successful delivery of cost-effective solutions
Support the implementation of new technologies in the digital marketing space
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or in “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math).
A minimum of 2 years of professional experience in a technical area (Architecture, Software, or Information Technology) or (a high school diploma / GED with at least 4 years of experience in Information Technology or Software).

Strong demonstrated experience in Enterprise Web Content Management (Adobe Experience Manager is preferred)
Strong demonstrated experience in web architecture and software/web development, including responsive design methodologies
Experience with enterprise CMS enabling technologies: Java Content Repository (API) suite, Sling web framework, DAM, Workflows
Familiarity with Continuous Integration and Automated test execution tools - Jenkins, Hudson, Selenium or Maven.
Experience in managing external resources to design & implement technology solutions
Familiarity with digital marketing technologies (marketing automation, CRM, web analytics)
Demonstrates the initiative to explore alternate technology and approaches to solving problems
Skilled in breaking down problems, documenting problem statements and estimating efforts
Has the ability to analyze impact of technology choices
Demonstrates knowledge of technologies in the market to help make buy vs build recommendations, scope MVPs, and to drive market timing decisions
Identifies misalignments with goals, objectives, and work direction against the organizational strategy. Makes suggestions to course correct
