Role Summary: The Strategic Growth Leader will partner with the Chief Marketing Officer ('CMO') and business leadership to develop and integrate marketing processes that meet business needs across the organization, build strategic insights to help identify and capture growth opportunities, and help drive strategy development and execution.
Essential Responsibilities: You will work cross-functionally with P&Ls, regions and key functions developing insights into market dynamics, adjacencies, and disrupters to enable GE Transportation to see around corners and inform/guide strategic decisions and investment priorities to continue to position us as an industry leader.
Partner with CMO to develop and integrate strategic marketing processes and rigor across the business.
Manage and enhance the GET Growth Board – our process to drive innovation and focus on identifying, evaluating and prioritizing new growth opportunities.
Develop deep understanding of target markets, customer needs and the competitive landscape; understand and articulate product and customer requirements by analyzing customer applications, market size and projected market growth.
Develop market insights to identify strategic market shifts, opportunities and risks.
Identify and tackle emerging strategic issues through research, analysis and communicate perspectives / recommendations to business leadership.
Discover and validate white space, growth opportunities and new markets.
Leverage this market knowledge to create, prioritize, and execute strategic initiatives.
Help build business cases for new opportunities and prioritize investments.
Lead the strategic planning process (growth playbook) by working across P&L and regions to identify, analyze and recommend initiatives to support future revenue and profit growth; align recommendations to the overall GET transformation strategy and story; participate in preparing strategic business reviews.
MBA or Master's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Engineering or related field
10+ years of experience in strategy development, strategic marketing, product marketing or related field
Deep marketing expertise in market and customer insights and product commercialization
Analytic, curious, and creative business / market focused problem solver
Clear, strategic thinker with ability to analyze complex data and identify key trends, opportunities / risks, and translate into clear insights and actionable strategies
Leadership skills to lead and/or influence teams and shape growth vision and strategic direction in a matrixed environment
Strong analytical and process skills o Strong oral and written executive communication skills
Team oriented - able to work effectively to harness the value of diverse, global and cross-functional teams
Transportation industry domain expertise and /or consulting background highly desirable
Experience with GE strategic planning processes (e.g., growth playbook, blueprint)
Energetic, adaptable and willing to lead, champion and manage change
Innovation - experience in developing new ideas through collaboration and executing on creative ideas
