Role Summary: Responsible for clinical verification&validation by interactions with Healthcare engineering team during the development stage of products, growing & leading research projects through collaborations with GEHC business units, and identifying strategies that would enable GEHC to maintain industry leadership in Radiation Oncology market. Incumbent will also develop application training material and take the lead in conducting training to both internal teams & customer personnel at clinical sites.
Essential Responsibilities: • Support product definition, provide commercial input from clinical perspective and validate products to maintain high quality products during projects’ Research & Development (R&D) stage • Develop application training material and take the lead in conducting trainings to both GEHC internal teams & customer personnel at clinical site • Select high quality sites for clinical evaluation and execute clinical tests at both GEHC laboratory and clinical sites • Form new collaborations with leading clinical sites (e.g. hospitals, pharma/biotech, associations and university centers etc.) to maintain GEHC’s leadership in the market • Manage collaborations with clinical sites for continued customer feedback and relationship to improve the products • Liaise with GE internal departments e.g. Regulatory, Sourcing, Finance etc. and develop appropriate relationships with key stakeholder groups (government officials, industry bodies) in order to improve the level of understanding and cooperation between the company and these groups • Provide technical support and participate in driving the development of new technologies for future innovative products for Radiation Oncology Imaging • Expected to maintain up-to-date knowledge of advances in the field of Radiation Oncology Imaging and develop a network of contacts within the global community
Qualifications/Requirements: Quality Specific Goals: 1. Aware of and comply with the GEHC Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this job type/position 2. Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines 3. Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns and take immediate corrective action as required. 4. Ensure compliance/closure of Regulatory and Quality requirements before approving Design Outputs/Program Deliverables 5. Lead continuous improvement activities by driving the implementation of process and product quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications: 1. Associates degree in Radiological Sciences or Radiological Technology 2. At least 5 years’ experience with CT Scanners 3. At least 3 years’ experience in the Radiation Therapy domain 4. Experience in global, cross-functional project management 5. Excellent communications skills - both verbal and written in Chinese and English 6. Willingness to travel 60% of the time
Desired Characteristics: 1. Ability to work in a highly independent manner yet able to contribute collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams 2. Cross-functional job experiences in research, development and marketing of imaging agents 3. Demonstrated ability to convert high-level customer needs into a technical development strategy 4. Established publication record in their chosen field with a willingness to present at technical meetings or conferences 5. Demonstrated collaboration experience with pharma/biotech, hospital centers and government agencies 6. Demonstrated ability to secure external funding opportunities 7. Project leadership experience, including both technical and financial management of project 8. Strong interpersonal and analytical skills 9. Innovative nature and willingness to pursue new technical areas 10. Ability to understand and speak technical language specific to CT technology, Radiation Oncology and Imaging Technology 11. Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering, Radiation Oncology or at least 5 years’ industry or academic experience with industry collaborations in related imaging field
