Role Summary: The Channels Sales Manager demonstrates accountability for functional, business, and broad company objectives. In this role you will integrate and develop processes that meet business needs across the organization, manage complex issues within functional area of expertise, be involved in long-term planning and contribute to the overall business strategy for Measurement and Control solutions portfolio in Brazil.
Essential Responsibilities: The Channel Sales Manager will serve different market segments with emphasis on Industrial, Power Generation and O&G Production and Pipelines; Natural Gas Processing and Transportation; Refining; Petrochemical; and Chemical customers by offering solutions based on the GE Measurement & Sensing Portfolio (MS) including products, services and applications that may require other Out of our M&S portfolio, the preferred technical background is in On-Line Process Analyzers to support our Gas & Moisture product lines and/or flow measurement in wells, pipeline, custody transfer and flare management to support our Flow Measurement. It will be accountable for the entire sales cycle from identifying customer's business problems, qualifying and closing opportunities and ensuring long-term relationships with End Customers through Channel Partners.
The role will be as follows, but not limited to:
• Maintain a strong operating rhythm with channels to build a solid and reliable opportunity pipeline and orders estimate per quarter and for total year. Intense focus on orders convertibility into revenue with a quarterly and yearly view Define channel partner strong operating plans including strategic alignment with product specialists and global channels strategies. Build long-term relationships with Channel Partners and End Customers by providing support, information, and consultant services; recommending new business opportunities that add value to our end users. • Qualifying opportunities by identifying customer's business problems and evaluating potential solutions within the GE Oil & Gas offering. Sells products, services and applications by establishing contact and developing relationships with prospects; recommending solutions. • Coordinate Sales and support success to our Channel Partners network for proper coverage. • Responsible for growth of new channel accounts as well as focus on maintaining existing ones. • Maintain close End Customer proximity while working through Channel Partners • Generate Strategic Account Planning and identify other sectors to penetrate with profitable grow. • Close communication and cooperation with Key Account Executive assigned to National Oil Companies in their region • Promote Gas & Moisture Analyzers, Ultrasonic Flow Meters, and Industrial Pressure portfolio; introduce new technologies and product updates. • Identify and report product improvements or new products by remaining current on industry trends, market activities, and competitors. • Maintain quality service by establishing and enforcing GE business standards and compliance. • Prepare reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information under GE platforms and properly follows all internal procedures. • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing professional networks and best industry practices. • Contribute to team effort as needed for ultimate customer satisfaction. • Interface with the marketing organization to drive high value solutions leveraging GE portfolio.
Qualifications/Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or Engineering from an accredited university with at least 5 additional years of experience in positions of sales through channels . • Bilingual Portuguese – English, with fluent English proficiency. A good level of Spanish is also desirable. • Must be capable of following and implementing methodologies, must be organized and with a well structured thought process. Experience working within a matrix company environment including product line, sales and commercial leaders.
