Role Summary: The Health & Wellness Project Manager will support delivery of GE HealthAhead initiatives across the company globally. HealthAhead is about creating and engaging GE employees and their families in a culture of health. The role manages multiple tasks and responsibilities, operating at all levels of the organization.
Essential Responsibilities: • Using strong project management skills, provide delivery support for Corporate HealthAhead Project Leader around HealthAhead Planning, Healthy Sites, and Consumer Engagement. • Healthy Sites: Provide delivery execution for GE’s Global Enterprise Standard for HealthAhead, including: o Ensure operations plans are established and communicated to business teams; o Track and drive progress toward meeting operations targets; o Develop and execute on means for obtaining ongoing voice of customer from GE business teams; o Coordinate and deliver on GE’s HealthAhead “buddy” and site recognition strategies. • Campaigns: Key resource in delivery of GE’s annual global HealthAhead Day, as well as other consumer engagement campaigns related to HealthAhead. • Project management activities in context of Health & Wellness initiatives, including: resource management, setting and driving project team toward achieving critical milestones, end-user/customer training and satisfaction pulsing, defect identification and resolution, and process/system enhancement roll out. • Maintain work plans and coordinate efforts among various teams to ensure that projects are delivered on time. • Manage day-to-day operations of initiatives, which will include vendor management, planning/facilitating team calls, communications, etc. • Partner with and foster productive working relationships with related groups, including GE business HealthAhead Champions, Medical Directors, business contacts/coordinators, and communications/IT teams. • Manage progress to schedule, budget & quality adherence, using project management methodology throughout project lifecycle. • Own risks for your deliverables: track risks; escalate issues & coordinate resolution. • Monitor and communicate on progress. • Work across project work streams to ensure effective integration; seek process improvement opportunities; actively contribute to project rigor & effectiveness. • Lead process improvement and quality project execution, utilizing quality methodologies including: Six Sigma, LEAN, Work-Out, and Change Acceleration.
Qualifications/Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college in a relevant field of study (or a high school diploma/GED or equivalent with at least 6 years of experience in Project Management) • Minimum 2 years experience in a project management/process improvement role or in the field of benefits, wellness and/or payroll delivery. • Ability to travel up to 10%, including globally
Desired Characteristics: • Advanced degree • Project management certification • Experience developing/implementing ways to engage employees from varied backgrounds/cultures in Health and Wellness activities/initiatives • Motivated change agent with the ability to collaborate across all levels • Experience with supplier performance, including contract management and measurement via scorecard/audit tools and processes • Proven ability to drive organizational change with demonstrated analytical and strategic problem solving skills • Excellent conflict resolution and facilitation skills with proven ability to resolve escalated customer service issues • Demonstrated organizational skills, high standard of accuracy, attention to detail, with excellent follow-up skills • Six Sigma Green Belt Certification or equivalent quality management experience • Excellent oral and written communication skills • Solid interpersonal skills; proven ability to develop and maintain required support relationships • Self-starter who can manage and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously with minimal supervision • Successful team player • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, Project)
