Role Summary: The Inventory Leader is responsible for managing Inventory for Oil&Gas sites, acting in: increase turns; decrease Inventory and avoid SMI (obsolescence); leading actions with all areas to attend global metrics.
Essential Responsibilities: • He/She will be responsible as well for maintaining the KPI’s/ Metrics resolving discrepancies, investigation of root cause and identifying necessary preventive measures to assure there are no reoccurrences. • Understanding of all warehouse transactions/movements and how they affect processes downstream. Recommend and develop systematic solutions and strategies to control inventory flow and maintain inventory accuracy. • Preparing daily work reports and forwarding it to higher management on a regular cadence as well as develop additional reporting to increase visibility of areas needing improvement and actions. • Recommend and develop systematic solutions and strategies to control inventory flow. • Define ABC policies for new projects; lot size purchase according to desire inventory level; • Coordinate with material planners the strategy to avoid and re-use excess material; • Coordinate with all areas excess material to sell for suppliers, customers, other GE sites; • Continuous internal communication with direct line manager and the key stakeholders; • Maintain and control the tools and dashboards for metric visibility and communication; • Working cross-functionally with sourcing, operations, supply chain and finance to identify improvement opportunities and implement successful changes.
Qualifications/Requirements: • Bachelor's Degree and 4 years of experience working in supply chain planning/materials area OR 2 years of experience in MRP/inventory. • Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional, global team environment. Willing to travel domestically. • Communication and analytical skills. Ability to energize, develop and influence at all levels within an organization. • Creates energy to deliver company goals through creation and comprehensive communication of practical “hands-on” operational plans and strategies. • Proven growth leadership skills demonstrating clear perspective and understand factors impacting.
