Role Summary: leading a team of Commercial Risk Specialists analyzing the commercial credit worthiness of GE’s customers within one or more industrial businesses and consider the aggregate risk exposure globally. Essential Responsibilities: • Lead and manage the team comprising Commercial Risk Specialists who may be distributed across two locations, Bangalore and Chennai. • Serve as the first point of escalation and principal contact person for issues faced by partner business finance, commercial finance, marketing and sales personnel; • Coordinate availability, coverage, training, access, support and cross-learning requirements of the team over businesses, locations and services offered by the Credit Services team; • Seek synergies between the requirements of the various business partners and drive the simplification, automation, error-proofing and value addition of these processes from an operational standpoint; • Work with the Global Operations Credit Services teams in other locations to identify and benefit from synergies and opportunities for process standardization, optimization and simplification that can be promulgated across partner businesses; • Interface effectively with industrial business leadership to articulate the transactional and customer risk, while recommending possible mitigating instruments; • Deliver a OneCredit commercial onboarding solution linking KYC, Credit, Terms, ERP Set Up and Order Release driving reduced hand offs and improved cycle time; • Effectively perform timely credit risk analysis on new and existing commercial customers as prompted by queuing structures or management direction leveraging multiple sources of data used in providing a recommended commercial credit limit; • Provide deep dive customer analytics typically consisting of: multi-source financial ratings matrix, company background, financial statement analysis, global AR exposure, credit limit recommendation, SWOT analysis, industry performance and summary of key events; • Maintain high standards of data quality within the data sets for credit risk models and external reporting; • Support seamless new client onboarding to the Global Operations team and meeting ongoing service level agreement requirements; • Navigate effectively within multiple credit tools, receivable systems and internal processes to deliver accurate and timely credit risk recommendations (CREDITRISKMONITOR, Moodys, eRAM, Salesforce, GECARS, Dun & Bradstreet, Bureau Van Djik, etc.); • Ensure execution of the Industrial Risk policy and adherence to established delegation of authorities by the businesses and Global Operations; • Other tasks assigned by Manager or applicable leadershi
Qualifications/Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited University or College with a minimum of 7 years’ relevant work experience; • Minimum 4 years’ financial services experience across Risk Management and/or Finance • Minimum 3 years’ experience in leading teams of diverse individuals in a shared services environment
