Role Summary: The purpose of the role is to Program Manage CIO’s office as well as help drive Strategic Initiatives for Group CIO, GE Global. The role holder would be expected to work closely with CIO and help the role holder with analytical inputs / insights by observing the organization from within and watching trends outside the organization. This is not an administrative role and provides a birds eye view of the business to the role holder.
Essential Responsibilities: Though the role will have diverse set of objectives and provide adequate space for the role holder to add flavors to the role, keys expectation would be as follows
- Program Manage CIO’s office o Attending executive meetings and drawing up short-long term plans based on discussions o Helping the office plan ahead towards ensuring coverage of all action items o Working with global stakeholders and assisting CIO with visibility of important metrics o Planning and executing critical business events that assist in strategic outcomes o Tracking and bringing to focus efficiency parameters for the GGO IT organization
- Running strategic tasks o Working on discrete projects in alignment with CIO’s strategic objectives o Improve coordination mechanisms within and help drive key external relationships o Facilitate high quality decision making through analytical and data driven rigor o Act as bridge and wall across various channels of information flow, allowing for efficient time utilization for the CIO
Qualifications/Requirements: Ideal candidate would be someone who is passionate about working with a senior leader in a work environment which exposes her / him to significant levels of ambiguity. The candidate must possess 8-10 years of diverse IT experience with exposure to both Technical and Techno-managerial aspects. Should possess exceptional inter-personal, communication and influencing skills. Should be able to work with stakeholders across hierarchies and cultures. Must demonstrate high business acumen and propensity to use data driven analysis. The role would expect the role holder to maintain extreme confidentiality and high levels of professional integrity.
