Role Summary: Current, powered by GE is looking for a Manager, Content Marketing Strategy & Development who is a high-level thinker with a penchant for details. The ideal candidate will be a standout idea generator and problem solver with excellent communication & organizational skills. This position will oversee content requirements and create content strategy deliverables. Your goal will be to help solve the customer’s problem by delivering content solutions at the right place at the right time.
In addition you will :
Drive overall content strategy based on Current’s business objectives and customer needs
Ensure alignment with other content creators, within Current and other GE businesses
Perform content inventories and audits (qualitative analyses of all the content on a network of sites and social media accounts) and develop a gap analyses
Create and maintain editorial calendars, style guides, taxonomies, metadata frameworks and content migration plans
Filter and redirect requests for deliverables that don’t align with the strategy
Leverage analytical skillset to gather key business and user insight to build long-term vision for the content generated
Demonstrate an ability to work cross-functionally to ensure content strategy is aligned with key stakeholder objectives
Manage development of key assets and keep projects on track and within budget
Compellingly communicate a brand’s story and determine how content will be presented and published
Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications or related field from an accredited university or college
Minimum of 7 years of experience in a marketing or communications role
A firm understanding of user experience and strong search engine optimization (SEO) and search engine marketing (SEM) skills are preferred
Strong oral and written communication skills
Strong relationship building and leadership skills
Experience leading content initiatives from ideation through implementation
Strong project management skills
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
